The armour has always been a part of fashion history. Metal armour, has an attractiveness of its own. Over the years, we get to see more and more designers, both mainstream and alternative, do their own version of the metal armour. Made famous perhaps by Dolce and Gabbana in their 2007 fall rtw show, full metal corset belts and full metal corset dresses are in a league of its own, merging masculinity with femininity, history with contemporary times. Rather futuristic in appearance, it appeals not only to fetish lovers, as seen by the enthusiastic response of the public~ Lady Gaga immortalized the metal corset dress by wearing it in her Paparazzi video, propelling metal fashion into the world stage.
So~~~ Ok, some of you know that I bought a metal corset belt, however it had a few problems, so my artesan will re-make one for me after she finishes her show (yes, she's busy with metal fashions~) So now, I will content myself with this corset belt- feminine and elegant cut out patterns, contrasted with chains and ribbons... all made in stainless steel~
Oh, and i found this inspiring armour photo ~ a full armour but a dress armour~ aint that chic? something abt it simply radiates elegant, athough its a war prop.... an oxymoron~ ?
