At the Golden Globes

nope, not interested in who won what, but rather, who wore what.
when did things get boring again...? Sometimes you really want to bitch slap the stylist for even suggesting some of the dresses....
Christian Lacroix really does shine.... too bad it cant find rhe financial backing he was hoping for in order to keep producing fashion as he would wish...
One surprise was Nina Ricci, much that I love Olivier Theyskens, the new Nina Ricci gowns are gorgeous too, in a whole new different way though. its warmer and more mainstream, with more draping in the dresses than that of Theyskens, overall it should appeal to the larger part of the audience. Still, I would love to see Theyskens doing what he does best anytime soon.

Style Icon #2: Dita Von Teese

Who can ever hate Dita Von Teese? This retro vintage pin up girl, always looks immaculate and flawless. Burlesque dancer, known to many as Marilyn Manson's ex-wife, she is famous for the invention of her "Martini Glass" rountine.
As for her fashion style, she is always dressed in vintage, retro and couture outfits. Elie Saab, Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, Jean Paul Gaultier, Christian Lacroix, Dolce and Gabbana, Marchesa, thelist goes on and on. Not to mention she is good pals with Christian Louboutin. She can always be seen on the first row of many fashion shows, and is followed credited for her beautiful body and her 21 inch waist (yes, she is a tightlacer).
She inspires me with her individuality and elegance. With her Mr Pearl corsets, sensuous lingerie, hair veils and fascinators, as well as her massive wardrobe, i do try to charge her every now and then when i am dressing up. Obviously, I wear a corset like she does, and also one as outerwear (mostly velvet or with lace and ribbons), with a thin belt strapped to my waist to ,make it seem even smaller. Also, stockings and suspenders are a must to complete this outfit.
She has also introduced me to the world of vintage collecting and shopping through her twiiter, which she updates on a daily basis. I share her love of vintage grace and glamour, and appreciate her injecting sexuality in the form of erotic art into life~
So go on, don't be shy, indulge in her photos~

Penelope Cruz in L'wren Scott

You know how much I love a good mermaid dress.
Penelope Cruz, one of the sexiest women on earth, is one of my sex icons. I could only dream of having an aura like hers that exudes extreme attitude and sexiness, perfected with those expressive eyes and pouty lips...
Here, the photos show her in a FABULOUS L'wren Scott spring 2008 creation. With a scallop trimmed bust line, the dress hugs her body perfectly and shows off her perfect curves. Its mermaid properties make her seem taller and thinner (as if she isnt tall and thin enough in the first place), which fans out into a glorious tail, that gradually turns from a black to pink shade. The tail is so exquisitely carfted and well thought of, it elevates the dress to a new level of subtle grace. Elegant, sexy and artistic, it certainly ticks all the right boxes!
